What to do in the Agafay desert?
The Agafay desert is located about 1 hour drive from Marrakech and covers several hundred hectares.
For several years, it has become the place to be if you come to Marrakech.
The landscapes are impressive with rock dunes (not sand dunes!) and a breathtaking view of the mountains during the winter.
To get there, we advise you to go with a driver in a van or 4×4, the roads are sometimes badly indicated, narrow and difficult to access.
Besides, the “small cabs” of the city are not allowed to take you there.

Enjoy an exceptional night in one of the camps in the Agafay desert. You will have the choice between different types of accommodation: domes, lodges or tents, the prices vary between 150 and 500 euros per night depending on the camp. You will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful sunset and to dine under the beautiful starry sky of Agafay.
However, we recommend that you do not stay at Agafay Desert for more than one night as you may get bored if your stay is too long.
The nights are cool between November and March, but most accommodations have heating in the rooms.
